Implicit Bias Training is required for renewal. This is a one-time requirement. You must attest on the renewal application that you have completed training. If you need to find a course, click here for a list of approved courses provided by the Maryland Office of Minority Health and Health Disparities. The Board of Physicians will accept any implicit bias training accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) completed since your last license renewal in 2021.

If renewal is not completed by September 30, your license will expire and you will need to apply for reinstatement, which includes applying for a new criminal history records check.  Physicians who fail to renew their medical licenses are not authorized to practice medicine.
