MPS members are invited to the address by AMA President Patrice Harris, M.D. at the November 2 MedChi meeting in Hanover, MD. Harris is a psychiatrist from Georgia who has also been active in the APA. Her talk will run from 8:30-9:30 AM, with a break immediately following when attendees can interact. MPS members are also invited to stay for the House of Delegates meeting that day. The MPS submitted a resolution, Integration of Mental Health, Substance Use, and Primary Care Systems and Services, that will be debated. Another resolution addresses Outpatient Mental Health Clinic Medical Directors. There are over 20 resolutions in all, with topics like step therapy, medical cannabis, gun violence, physician rating systems, etc. You can find more information here .
