MPS Winter Party
MPS Winter Party – Join your fellow MPS members for a fun, social evening from 5:30 to 7 PM on Saturday January 20 at the home of Dr. Jessica Merkel-Keller. She chairs the MPS Early Career Psychiatrists Committee and serves as Co-Editor of The Maryland Psychiatrist. Beer, wine and appetizers will be served. Bring a guest if you’d like! ADVOCACY DAYS On Thursday January 25th, we invite all MPS members to join us in Annapolis to meet with House and Senate leadership to discuss current and future legislation affecting psychiatry and mental health in Maryland. The MPS Diversity and Public Psychiatry committees will hold a joint meeting on Thursday evening February 8 in the MPS office. Intercultural Counseling Connection representative Lauren Goodsmith will speak beginning at 7 PM about this network of mental health professionals committed to providing culturally responsive counseling and therapeutic services for asylum seekers, refugees, and other forced migrants in the greater Baltimore area.
