Robin Weiss, MD to Receive MFP Anti-Stigma Advocacy Award

The 2026 Maryland Foundation for Psychiatry (MFP) Anti-Stigma Advocacy Prize will be awarded to Robin Weiss, MD for her extraordinary generosity of spirit, humility, and courage in openly sharing her personal journey of struggle with addiction and success in recovery as a young physician.

The Anti-Stigma Advocacy Award will be formally presented at the Maryland Psychiatric Society Annual Dinner on April 30.

  • Shares with the public their experience with mental illness in themselves, a family member, or simply in the community.
  • Helps others to overcome their inability to talk about mental illness or their own mental illness.
