APA and MPS Advocacy with Maryland Congressional Delegation
On March 22, 2018 the APA and MPS sent letters urging the Maryland Congressional Delegation to join us in a dialogue about mental illness and suggesting that we look together for bipartisan solutions that ensure early intervention and access to mental health and substance use treatment. Specifically, we requested discussion about enforcement of the Parity Act, problems with insurance networks, workforce shortages, innovative care delivery models and funding for services as well as research.
