DESCRIPTION:President’s Panel on Politics and Policy with Ibram X. Kendi\, PhD\, MA presented by the University of Maryland at Baltimore\n\n\n\nIbram X. Kendi is one of America’s foremost historians and leading anti-racist scholars as well as a National Book Award-winning and best-selling author. The Andrew W. Mellon Professor in the Humanities at Boston University\, he is the founding director of its Center for Antiracist Research.\n\n\nKendi is a contributing writer at The Atlantic and a CBS News racial justice contributor and was named one of the 100 most influential people in the world by Time magazine in 2020.\n\n\n\nKendi is a graduate of Florida A&M University\, where he majored in journalism and African American studies. He earned his doctoral degree in African American studies from Temple University. Kendi has taught at the State University of New York (SUNY) Oneonta\, SUNY Albany\, the University of Florida\, and American University.\n\n\n\nIn 2020\, The Root 100 listed him as the seventh-most influential African American between ages 25 and 45 and the most influential college professor.
