Kolodner Memorial Lecture \nThursday\, October 24\, 2019\, 5:30 – 8:00 PM \nThis activity is free\, but you must register! \nRegister Today at 2019 Kolodner Lecture Registration \nMedChi\, The Maryland State Medical Society in collaboration with the family of Dr. Kolodner is pleased to announce the 2019 Louis J. Kolodner Memorial Lecture. \nThis memorial lecture and dinner will be presented in MedChi’s historic Osler Hall on October 24th from 5:30 to 8:00 PM. \nThis year guest lecturer\, Jay H. Sanders\, M.D.\, FACP\, FACAAI\, FATA\, will present “Where We Are and Where We Need To Be.” The presentation will briefly explore both the history of telemedicine\, AI and sensors and provide an overview of their present and future applications and consequences relative to the role and impact on the present day understanding of how and where the majority of healthcare will be provided and by whom. A hypothetical\, but realistic view of tomorrow’s healthcare delivery system and our role in it will be explored. \nDr. Sanders\, known to many as the “Father of Telemedicine”\, was responsible for developing the first State-wide telemedicine system\, the first Correctional telemedicine program\, the first Tele-homecare technology\, called “The Electronic House Call”\, and the first Telemedicine kiosk. His consulting activities have included NASA\, DOD\, HHS\, the VA\, the FCC\, State Governments\, the Southern Governors Association\, the MIT Media Lab\, WHO\, academic institutions\, investment firms\, Fortune 500 companies\, and International Governments. He is the CEO of The Global Telemedicine Group\, Professor of Medicine (Adjunct) at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine\, the Founding Board Member\, President Emeritus and Fellow of the American Telemedicine Association and he chaired the Scientific\, Military and Medical Advisory Board of the National Science Foundation/NC State University ASSIST Sensor Center. \nJoin your colleagues for dinner and Dr. Sanders intriguing lecture\, provided by the Kolodner Family and MedChi\, The Maryland State Medical Society\, on Thursday\, October 24th from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. in historic Osler Hall\, in the MedChi facility on 1211 Cathedral Street\, Baltimore\, Maryland. \n2019 Kolodner Memorial Lecture Agenda \n5:30-6:30 PM – Dinner \n6:30 – 8:00 PM – “Where We Are and Where We Need To Be.” Jay H.
